Dear members,
I'm sure all of you will agree that a community can't work without any rules. But don't worry, they're not as strict as you might think. ;D
1. The official language in this foum is English.
The members here are from all over the world and have different first languages; the only mutual language we have is English. You are allowed and encouraged to use other languages as well, but please make sure to translate everything you have written so nobody will be feeling excluded.
2. Respect the other members and be polite.
In an international platform like this you meet people from different countries who grew up in different cultures. The might speak a different language and believe in different values, to put it in a nutshell: They might have other views on things than you. Please respect that. Discussions can be very interesting as long as everybody remembers that there is an actual person with feelings behind that nickname.
3. Help and accept help from others!
This refers to anything this forum is about. Whether it's about linguistic mistakes, suggestions for your translations or technical issues - nobody wants to insult you but help.
4. Make sure your postings are legible.
YES!!!! THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!! Seriously, don't make use of too many capital letters and punctuation marks - both can be (mis)taken as very unpolite. And even if English is not your first language try to express yourself as clearly as possible.
5. Stay on topic within threads.
I know, it's very tempting to discuss a certain topic that came up in a thread. But if it hasn't got to do anything with the original topic the thread is about better talk about it privately or open a new thread in the corresponding area.
6. If you have ideas, suggestions or questions let me know!
I'm very nice. Most of the time. ;D
